STUART EARNSHAW
Stuart Earnshaw
is a multimedia artist based in Fremantle, Western Australia.
Living most of his life in WA, he originally spent 8 years teaching and painting in London where he first discovered the anatomical illustrations of Andreas Vesalius. This was a catalyst for him to develop a series of metaphors with which to explore belief, faith, experiences and ideas.
While his imagery and inspirations shift from project to project, a common theme within Stuart’s work is the dissection of belief and essence, thoughts around the two ‘domains of attention’ that we bring to the world, the Australian landscape and making sense of spirituality. When he’s not in his studio, he teaches the arts locally around Perth.

Stuart acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land on which we live and create art on, the Whadjuk Noongar peoples. He pays his respects to Elders past, present and emerging.
